Jack Kirby was a great American. A visionary artist. A philosopher of action and thought and unbound creativity, distilling all those to image.

On today, the Fourth of July, 2013, I’ll be posting a bit of Kirby’s work, which some might even call his lesser work, from his return to Marvel Comics in the mid-70s. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Cover details from CAPTAIN AMERICA #211 and #210.

KING KIRBY.
